Minimal secret

The work is composed of three parts that give continuity to the research work developed around the files declassified by the United States on Chile and the Southern Cone countries. The first part of the work corresponds to the archives laser-cut on roofing felt impregnated with tar, which shape to a volume suspended in the center of the exhibition space. At the same time there is a general redaction in the space, as the white areas of the documents have been laser-cut and removed, leaving only the printed ink information of the original documents.

The second part of the work is a large stain that contains a degradation of the visual, textual and graphic elements that make up the archives and is made from the destruction of these documents and their recomposition on handmade papers that disorganize and fragment the information. The third and final element of the exhibition is the display of 200 books, belonging to the work Biblioteca de la No-Historia (exhibited in Santiago, Bern and Istanbul during 2010 and 2011) and to the work La No-Historia (exhibited in Porto Alegre in 2011), stacked on a backlit base.
