At Artissima 2025, Voluspa Jarpa presents a diptych from her ongoing series Cartographies of the Syndemic, which revisits the waves of social uprisings that swept across Latin America between 2019 and 2023. The series combines territorial cartography, data sets, graphics, and archival materials to build a layered reading of contemporary conflicts, articulating perspectives on economic inequality, ecological crisis, and ancestral relations to land. Within this intersection of information and image, the map becomes a critical device: it does not fix territory in place, but makes visible its tensions, overlaps, and resonances.
